What happens next

01 Rick calls to talk through what you're seeing. Photos are usually enough to price a straightforward crack.
02 You get your real repair number, request it during the day and you'll typically have it the same day.
03 You sign the contract, and most single-crack repairs are done in one visit within the next 24 hours.

Cracks, leaks, and wet basements.

  • Foundation crack injection

Cracks in poured-concrete walls are sealed from the inside with polyurethane or epoxy injection, filled through the full thickness of the wall, not patched over. Most single cracks are a one-visit repair.

  • Leaky basement repair

We find where the water is actually getting in, seal it, and fix the path it took, whether that's a crack, a tie-rod hole, a window well, or grading that sends water at the house instead of away from it.

  • Exterior waterproofing

For walls that leak in more than one spot, we excavate outside, apply a waterproof membrane and drainage board, and restore the weeping tile so water drains away instead of pushing through the wall.

  • Interior drainage & sump

Where outside access isn't practical, we manage water from the inside: interior drainage membrane, weeping tile, and a sump pit and pump that move water out before it reaches your floor.

Three steps. Fast.

Repaired, most within 24 hours
Once the contract is signed, most single-crack repairs are completed in one visit within the next 24 hours. Bigger waterproofing jobs get a firm start date and a firm number.

Cracks don't heal. They grow.

Ottawa is hard on foundations: clay soil that swells and shrinks with the seasons, and freeze-thaw cycles that pry a hairline crack wider every winter. Water that gets in follows the same path every time, and each pass carries a little more of the wall with it. A crack that costs a few hundred dollars to inject today can become a mold problem, a ruined finished basement, or a structural repair later. The fix is almost always cheapest the day you first notice it.

Common questions.

Is my crack serious?
Most cracks in poured-concrete foundations are shrinkage cracks, vertical or near-vertical hairlines that leak but aren't structural. Horizontal cracks, stair-step cracks in block walls, or walls that bow inward are a different story and need eyes on them. Text us a photo, we'll tell you honestly which one you have.
What does a repair cost?
It depends on what's actually wrong, which is exactly why the estimate is free and comes first. A typical single-crack injection is a few hundred dollars, not thousands. Full exterior waterproofing is a bigger job. Either way, you get the real number before any work starts, and the number we quote is the number you pay.
Do you really repair within 24 hours?
For most single-crack injection repairs, yes. Once the contract is signed, the repair itself is a one-visit job of a few hours, and we schedule it within 24 hours of signing whenever the calendar allows. Larger excavation and waterproofing work takes longer, and we'll give you a firm start date with your number, so you always know before you sign.
Inside repair or outside repair, which do I need?
A single leaking crack in a poured wall is usually best fixed from the inside with injection, faster, cheaper, no digging. Exterior waterproofing makes sense when a wall leaks in multiple places, the weeping tile has failed, or you're already planning to finish the basement and want it dry for good. We'll recommend the cheaper option when it does the job, because we'd rather earn the bigger projects you call us for later.
My basement is finished, can you still fix it?
Yes. We open only what's needed to reach the crack, repair it, and, because we're a full design-build crew, we can also put the finished wall back better than we found it, drywall, paint, trim, all of it. Most crack-repair outfits stop at the concrete. We don't.
Who's actually doing the work?
Clearview is the estimating and design arm of Adaline Construction Group, a licensed, insured Ottawa builder with $2M in commercial liability coverage and WSIB. The crew that repairs your foundation is the same team that builds basements, additions, and whole-home renovations across Ottawa.
